What went wrong with Manchester United ? Will they bounce back next season!

The managerial honeymoon has ended with Manchester United not qualifying for the next season Champions league and a daunting task to re- organize the team befitting the character of Manchester United, and to compete with the standards of Manchester city and Liverpool.

Ole Gunner Solskjaer has said he is confident that he will get right players this summer to make them a force next campaign. He also mentioned that the players should have right personality, right price and right quality and he is sure that the club would provide him with the right player to fix the issues.

Solskjaer’s return to the club had been very positive for the club and the players because of the fact what he has done so much for the club as a player. His return brought immediate success with winning 14 of his 17 matches in charge at United after replacing Jose Mourinho in December. But then things started to change and performance have slipped and United were knocked out of the Champions League quarter- finals and finished sixth in the Premier League after just winning two games in their last 12 games. The Red Devils point haul of 66 is their joint second worst in Premier league history and the numbers of goals conceded this season is shocking.

This season campaign ended very low as already relegated Cardiff won 2-0 at Old Trafford and fans voiced their frustration on social media with one fan was among those to tweet his anger saying : ‘Any club, any other club then Manchester United would sack Ole Gunnar Solskjaer tonight. That is absolutely disgusting form.’

Somehow Solskjaer’s lack of experience at higher level has been exposed and fans have started to believe that he is not the type of coach that can lead them back to the top of the game and to compete with teams managed by Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp

Let’s wait and watch for the next season and hope Solskjaer can revitalize the fortunes of a club who has not won the Premier League for six years.

  1. The biggest mistake by ManU was sacking Jose in the mid season, else they wud have be in top 4 spot atleast. Jose just spoon fed a very well balanced team to Ole.no comparison for Jose coz he’s the best coach ever. With Ole I dnt see anything positive even next season.
