The city that has seen it all
Saw the naive innocent fearful lives
Entering with wide open, awe filled eyes
Getting lost in the crowd, entwining in the madness
Seeing the cracking of the shells
Like a silent observer
Not interfering with the moulding
Just waiting for the outcome
Listening to the screams and the cries
Of happiness, celebrations, friendships and new births
As well as loneliness, the heart breaks,
betrayals, and the depressive bouts
And finally proud like a mother
To see her child mature
Owning it, accepting, and happy in her own skin
With a new vision, look and fervour
The naive has become wise
innocent to smart and the fearful became fearless
Finally the City is smiling, happy with the outcome
The city has seen it all…
