India qualify for Semis after beating Bangladesh by 28 runs


India beat Bangladesh by 28 runs to qualify for the Semi-finals of the Cricket World Cup 2019 at Edgbaston in Birmingham, meanwhile Bangladesh has been eliminated.

Rohit Sharma scored his fourth century (104) and became the 2nd batsman after Sangakkara to hit 4 hundreds in one world cup.

Rohit Sharma forged a 180 runs partnership with K.L Rahul (77) to help India put a total of 314 for 9 wickets.

Bangladesh got all out for 286 runs despite half centuries by Mohammad Saifuddin and Shakib Al Hassan.

Shakib Al Hassan became the first cricketer in the history of world cup to score 500 plus runs and also claim more then 10 wickets.

Jasprit Bumrah exceptional bowling with figures of 4/55 and Hardik Pandya of 3/60 helped India through to the semi-finals.

India becomes the second team to qualify for the semi-finals after Australia.
